Jeff Coffey

Jeff
Coffey was born and raised in the Orlando,
Florida area. He has always had in interest in music and in high school
began by playing bass in various rock bands formed with his classmates.
Jeff received music scholarships to Stetson University and the University
of Central Florida and traveled to Europe with the UCF Jazz Band. He has
been in several bands since college and began pursuing a solo career in
2000. His self titled debut solo CD was independently released and received
spins on over 60 Top 40/AC stations across the country, as well as XM
Radio. After many packed shows at feature venues such as Hard Rock Live,
House of Blues & SunFest, he has established himself as a prominent
force not only in the Florida music scene, but nationally as well.
Jeff won accolades from Songwriters Showcase of America: In 2003, his
song Carousel was voted Song of the Year and in 2004 he was named Male
Solo Act of the Year. His songs have been featured on television shows
such as MTVs Fraternity Life, Sorority Life, Room Raiders and E! Networks
Gastineau Girls just to name a few.
"Pop Goes the World" is prominently featured in the new independent
movie Stealing God. The single "Write About Me", released in
March of 2004, is featured in the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen video game
Sweet 16 Licensed to Drive and topped the New Music Weekly AC40 Most Added
and Prime Mover ChartsJeffs National television appearances include The
Daily Buzz on the WB Television Network and he has performed the National
Anthem at several Orlando Magic and Atlanta Braves spring training games.
The undeniable heart-and-soul of this up-and-coming artist is evermore
present in his music. . Music is the backdrop to our lives and I hope
that my music can affect people. I dont want to sound like everybody else,
and I certainly dont want every song I play to be more of the same thing.
For me, the more curves there are on the road .... the more fun it is
to drive. Jeff Coffey An artist not to be missed!

Grammy Winner David Foster Joins STARTOMORROW For NBC.com
NBC?S STARTOMORROW, New Interactive Music Competition Series Begins Exclusively On NBC.com This Summer
Fourteen-time Grammy-winning producer and songwriter David Foster has signed on with STARTOMORROW, NBC?s new interactive music competition that will allow viewers to choose the first Internet superstar starting later this summer.
Marking the first time that the network has offered a full national series online, NBC will introduce “StarTomorrow,” an interactive music competition that will put viewers exclusively in control of choosing the first Internet superstar band, singing group or solo act - and will reward the winners with a recording deal with Foster and his recording company. Foster, who inherits the assignment from music mogul Tommy Mottola, also has received an unprecedented 43 Grammy nominations as well as three Oscar nominations and an Emmy Award. Over three incredibly successful decades, Foster has worked with such musical stars as Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, N?Sync, the Corrs and Natalie Cole, among others.
